Our IC Matching dashboard allows base entities to compare, match, and update intercompany amounts with ease and speed.
A Smarter Way to Review Intercompany Differences
The dashboard displays IC differences in the columns and counterparties in the rows. When you click on a difference, a second cubeview (report) automatically updates to show the amounts from both entities that contribute to the mismatch.
For example, clicking on a sales IC difference of 25kreveals that:
- Netherlands entity has booked 25k
- France has booked 50k
This results in a clear mismatch of 25k, which is now easy to investigate and resolve.
Fast and Lightweight Setup
What if the counterparty uses a different currency?
The dashboard includes a simple on-the-fly translation algorithm that:
- Instantly translates counterparty amounts
- Has no impact on consolidation performance
- Does not require storing translated values, which keeps the system fast and efficient
The setup uses a locally calculated IC difference, shown in the main cube view. The drill-down cube view is connected through bound parameters. Most of the setup relies on standard OneStream functionality. For the dynamic retrieval of base accounts linked to plug accounts a business rule is used.
How to Use the Dashboard
Using the dashboard is straightforward:
- Review the IC differences. Click on a mismatch, such as the 25k example.
- Click on a mismatch, such as the 25k example.
- The drill-down view updates to show both your data and the counterparty’s.
- After verifying the issue, make a manual adjustment (for example, 25k).
- Press Save to complete the update.
Once all differences are resolved, your IC matching process is complete.
