Oracle FastTrack: budgeting, forecasting and analysis in 8 weeks, for a fixed price

Your team builds the budget in Excel, and every new entity or scenario adds another linked file to keep in sync. With Oracle FastTrack you get one planning model for budgeting, forecasting and plan vs. actuals analysis, live in eight weeks for a fixed €23k. Finext's Oracle team configures it in Oracle Cloud EPM and hands it over to your finance team.

Is Oracle FastTrack right for you?

You've outgrown Excel or your current planning tool. You want a modern, cloud-based way of planning, without a project that runs for a year and needs a full IT team behind it.

Running Oracle Fusion or Oracle NetSuite as your ERP? Then the data connection is part of the standard setup. Running another ERP? A simple CSV-based integration loads your data, with light configuration where your source system needs it.

What changes for your finance team?

Planning in Excel
Linked spreadsheets for every entity and scenario
One person in the file at a time
Changes you can't trace back
Every forecast round starts by hand
With Oracle FastTrack
One planning model your whole team trusts
Budget and forecast together, in real time, from any location
Every change logged, so your numbers stay audit-ready
AI-generated forecasts as your starting point, up to 11 times a year

What do you get for €23k?

A fixed price of €23k, excluding your Oracle EPM Cloud licenses. That covers the full standard package:

  • One P&L planning model, ready for budgeting, forecasting, and multi-entity, multi-scenario planning
  • AI-generated forecasts as the starting point for every forecast round, based on your historical actuals, so your team reviews and adjusts instead of starting from scratch
  • Up to 20 forms for budgeting, forecasting and analysis
  • Up to 4 dynamic reports in PDF, Excel and Smart View, scheduled for colleagues without an EPM license
  • Plan vs. actuals analysis in Smart View, so your team keeps working in Excel, but on live data from one model
  • One dashboard that combines live grids and charts into a single management view of plan, budget and actuals
  • One data integration with Oracle Fusion, Oracle NetSuite or a CSV-based load
  • One approval workflow: end users submit, reviewers approve
  • Requirements and design, training, and an admin guide for your team

Our consultants work on-site at your offices two days a week. After go-live, your finance team runs the model in under two hours a month, without IT.

How we work together in 8 weeks

From your first data delivery to your first planning cycle. The 8 weeks start once we've received your prerequisites.

Before start
You deliver your structures

Chart of accounts, entities, cost centers and number of users.

Weeks 1–2
Requirements and design

Kick-off, a one-day requirements session and a design you sign off.

Weeks 2–5
Configure and load data

We configure the model and load your historical actuals.

Weeks 6–7
Test with your data

Your finance team tests the model. We fix what doesn't work as intended.

Week 8
Training and go-live

Hands-on training, then your team runs its first planning cycle.

Can we extend the model later?

Yes. FastTrack starts with your P&L, and you can add driver-based sales planning, workforce planning, balance sheet planning or CAPEX planning on top of the same model whenever you're ready.

Frequently asked questions

What do we need to prepare before the project starts?

Before we start, we ask for the number of users, your full P&L chart of accounts (including headers, summations and subtotals), your full entity list and your full cost center list. If you plan in more than one currency, we also need the currencies you use. Finally, send us your reporting examples or requirements. Don't have any? Then we configure the standard reports.

Does FastTrack work with our ERP?

With Oracle Fusion or Oracle NetSuite, the integration works out of the box, without custom development. With another ERP, a simple CSV-based load brings your data in, with light configuration if your source system needs it.

How is the planning model structured?

The model uses the dimensions Account, Scenario, Version, Year, Period, Entity, Cost Center and View, plus Currency if you plan in more than one currency. One custom dimension is available when you need it, for example for intercompany eliminations. Entity gives you multi-entity planning with access control per entity, and View gives you periodic, MTD, QTD and YTD reporting.

What do the AI-generated forecasts need?

The forecasts are based on your historical actuals, so we need two years of actuals from you. We load that history during the data loading phase.

What does the fixed price include, and what doesn't it?

The €23k covers the standard package, one day of requirements and design, training, an admin guide, and fixes for anything that doesn't work as intended. It excludes Oracle EPM Cloud licenses and go-live support. For functional support after go-live, you can use the Finext Service Desk, which we offer at a discount as part of FastTrack.

What does the monthly maintenance involve?

Your finance team updates variables and scenario months, loads actual data and prepares the plan. That takes under two hours a month and doesn't need IT.
